That's not a risk. Rafa didn't manage in the premier league before hand neither did the guy at Spurs or Jose or Wenger or Ancelloti or or or.
It is a nonsense on stilts that they need to have premiership experience.Indeed Sam at one point didn't.
Please tell me how Sam is better than all of them?

Of that lot - I've never rated Rafa with all the money he pissed up the wall in Liverpool.
Howe is the most intriguing.
But one season out from the OS, why would you change one of the most experienced managers in the premiership - with a record of keeping clubs in the top flight if nothing else - for someone with zero experience?

ah. ok, you did.
How many of them would come, how many have any experience in the prem?
Not that this means they should be ruled out - but it does have to up the risk level for a change.
That leaves what, Benitez and the bloke that walked out on Swansea?

Sam isn't the safest option. We nearly went down last season and had this poor run started in November and not Boxing Day we'd be overlooking our shoulder.
It amazes me when people put our poor run down to luck. If it is all luck then surely our good run was too?

With BFS you're meant to get a well organised team with high fitness levels.
It's inexcusable that our players are getting tired and often don't know what to do in the last twenty minutes.

Well Tony Henry or whatever his name is, will have to become involved somehow. SA can't keep him away from purchasing players with DS for ever so something has to give....

under the thumb 11:17 I understand the reticence to change but a manager that makes the dreadful mistakes in the transfer market that SA has allied to his dubious tactics and favouritism means that WH is being held back.
If survival in the Prem is all we want for WH what's the point moving to the OS? I'm ambitious by nature. Not everyone is but I'm not afraid of taking a gamble on DS getting it right because he has to this time and the promise of 54,000 in a new London stadium and top wages means our choices are much bigger than anyone seems to imagine...

SOH Agree with you. Whatever Allardyce does he will always get pelters from some people on here.
I genuinely believe if given the chance next season if you look at the players bought into the club this season and the recruitment is as good again then two or three quality signings and we have the chance to push on again.
If you get rid of him you effectively start the whole process all over again. There is obviously issues between Sullivan and him but, and this is the important point why I think the owners will keep him, Sullivan & Gold are very astute business men and I don't think they will take the risk of replacing him with so much at stake..He is the safest option. t

Re: Blame Sam Allardyce

Key to West Ham achieving success.....
.....just for once keeping a decent core of players together as long as possible and not selling them to rivals. You then have to invest when a player gets past his best or bring through youth prospects if possible.
These current owners are doing that more so than any other owners previously and most of Sam's relative success at an in the doldrums Bolton was down to him accumulating a half decent core of players and keeping them for a number of seasons replacing where necessary.
Some of our numb nut fans refuse to except the squad is improving year by year and core players are being kept together as much as possible as in this day and age players will see the club as a stepping stone due to our lack of European competition.
Let's sack another manager though and break up another set up still in it's construction.

I don't disagree with anything you've said. I also felt like we went into the last 4 games thinking we can get something, which is a big change.
From here it is whether BFS can take us to the next level, dare we risk a long term deal with him if we did, and is the devil you know better than the devil you don't?
